Shamrock stems from a 3-leafed clover. It is a chosen symbol that the good we aspire to do cannot be achieved by ourselves. Other than our own leadership, we need to work with other groups of collaborators such as volunteer befrienders and elder-friendly service providers.
The company seeks out elderly poor individuals in the community who are weak and socially isolated. We match them with one or two befrienders who will be trained and supported to journey with these seniors. The main objectives are to alleviate loneliness and provide basic support like groceries, meals and transport to medical appointments.

There are 8 members in this Core Team and we will recruit and update accordingly.
We currently have 3 directors who are co-founders. As this is at start up stage, we will not be having additional directors/shareholders in the foreseeable future.
Currently there is no affiliation with local business/groups/organizations. We will not be forging any affiliation with foreign groups.
Our Befrienders will be trained and risk management will be covered in the training session.
We take confidentiality seriously and our Volunteers are screened, trained and matched. On an ongoing basis, there will be reviews with befrienders and befriendees to ensure that the friendship is going well.
Our focus is on face-to-face befriending after a relationship is established. Befriending can also be in the form of telephone or video calls, and text messages.
